Samsung Declared A Wide Range of Monitors and Display Units

At the Samsung Forum, it wasn’t all tablets and smartphones. There was also a variety of monitors being announced and these included 3D computer monitors and their SA and TA display units. The Korean company has brought the SA 750, T22A350, CA 750 and CA 550 to India. Let’s take them one at a time.



The SA 750 fits in to Samsung’s Full HD a 3D LED Series 7 monitor which is available in 23- and 27-inch configuration. These monitors present full HD 1920x1080 resolution and 3D playback on a wide variety of 3D content, including 3D video games, 3D movies, and user-created 3D content similar to photos and videos. This monitor has maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and it also examine and renders 2D content to 3D, supporting content from PCs Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and set-top boxes as well. The SA 750 also boasts of a response time of 2 ms which should give a good gaming and movie viewing experience.

The SA 750 features an Eco Light Sensor that is intended to save energy by automatically adjusting the brightness of the screen based on ambient light. The monitor also features an Eco Motion Sensor which also helps in lowering energy expenditure by automatically turning the display on or off when a user is within, or has left, the vicinity of the monitor.

The TA 3 Series consists of a 21.5-inch LED monitor that offers full HD 1920x1080 resolution and a brightness of 250cd. It can receive TV broadcast signals through a built-in tuner. The system has a Connect Share feature that allows users to access media from a memory stick and the monitor also supports Dolby Digital DTS 2.0.


Samsung’s Central Station Series 7 and 5 monitors act as hubs that are meant to connect a user’s laptop to a series of other devices. The CA 750 has an auto wireless detection option, which is meant to wirelessly finding and connecting with a user’s laptop. The CA 750 and CA 550 Series also offer full HD 1920x1080 resolution and a response time of 2 ms. The Auto Configuration feature automatically regulates the screen resolution between the user’s laptop and Central Station monitor when the two are connected via USB.The CA 750 and CA 550 also support USB 3.0 technology, which enables users to transfer data and charge mobile devices faster.


Featuring ultra-thin bezels, the 55” UD Series of Large Format Display (LFD) units determine 5.3mm from bezel to bezel and the UD55A delivers 700 Nits of brightness with 1920x1080 resolutions. The monitor also has two features called Automatic Color Calibration which automatically adjusts the White Balance on video walls; while a removable Ambient Brightness sensor automatically adjusts the on-screen brightness in conjunction with the ambient light level of the area surrounding the display. Providing full connectivity options, the UD55A includes one D-SUB, one DVI and two HDMI ports, in addition to a DVI-out interface, which enables the seamless sharing of content among up to 100 monitors. The UD55A also features a built-in network PC running Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009. Additionally, the RJ45 interface, included with the monitor, provides users with long distance remote control abilities via LAN.
